Good Morning,

My name is Wes Bowie. I am a fourth-year undergraduate student in the department of Kinesiology and Physical education at the University of Lethbridge studying older adult’s motives to limit daily sitting time. I am inviting any older adults’ (65 years or older) to participate in a study that will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. Older adults of any fitness level are encouraged to participate. Data collected from the survey will be used to design a tool to assess why older adults choose to reduce daily sitting time. Participation will be voluntary and confidential. In appreciation for your time spent completing this survey, each participant will be entered into a draw for one of four $25 VISA gift cards. There are no anticipated risks to taking part in this survey and you may withdraw at any time. You will not be asked to provide any personal information that will reveal your identity. Responses and contact information will be kept separate on a locked computer that researchers will have access to. If you have any questions about the study or are interested in the findings, you may contact us at PALS@uleth.ca or 403-332-5207.
