Margit Knupp and Rebecca Still from the Multicultural Heritage Centre graced us with their knowledge of the tri-area during our July 24 meeting.

We learned the story of how our area was settled, the notorious story of Stony Plain sheriff Israel Umbach chaining a train to the tracks, and the origins of the Spruce-Stony rivalry, among other interesting tidbits.
Thanks Margit and Rebecca for taking the time to give us a much needed history lesson!
