In 2019, our club helped Rotary District 5370 earn the distinction as a Peacebuilder District, one who has contributed significantly to the cause of creating peace in the world through its financial support of the Rotary Peace Centers and their initiatives. In 2012, our club nominated RCMP member, Gordon Hughes, to receive the Rotary Peace Fellowship. Through a highly competitive worldwide process, Gordon was one of only 100 individuals selected by the trustees of The Rotary Foundation to receive the Peace Fellowship to study in a three-month professional development certificate program at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
