Thanks for your Patience
Just a quick note:

Thanks for your patience while the Rotary RAP has been missing in action.  Life has been pretty busy/distracting and unfortunately I allowed this duty to slip.  I think everything should be back to normal now so you can expect to see the RAP Monday or Tuesday mornings going forward.  Again thanks for your understanding.

Attendance at Weekly Meetings
Just a quick reminder that if you are going to be away and won't be attending a weekly meeting, can you please indicate by clicking the "Can't Make It" Button.  The email comes out on Fridays and is called the "May Rotary Meetings" or whichever month it is.  The email comes from Crystal Desilets.  I use this info for informing Shotz how many people will be there for lunch.  Also if you are bringing a guest could you fill in the "Bring a Guest" button.  Thanks for helping out with this as it's makes my job easier if I have all the information.

Days for Girls Project Update
Last month Catherine went down to help with assembling of the packages for "Days For Girls".  She had a great time and was blown away by how efficient the Camrose Club was in assembling everything.  The Camrose Club was very thankful for our donation and they were able to use some of it for purchasing fabric, etc.  If you have no idea what I am talking about then check  https://www.daysforgirls.org/ for more information.

Upcoming Things to Consider

May 16th - Dean Chapman: Heritage Fund Investment Co-op

May 23rd - Inspector Mike Lokken: Update on local RCMP Initiatives

May 30th - Angus McKenzie: Direction of the Family Violence Work that our Club wants to help with.

June 6th (vocational visit at the Food Bank) - Sheri Ratsoy: update on the Food Bank

June 13th - Wilson & Danielle Nelson: the Nelson Homestead.  Spruce Grove does not have many historical sights designated.  Come and hear about the journey Wilson & Danielle Nelson are taking to perserve their family home as a designated historical site.  They will be sharing their journey with our club.

Blood Donor Clinic Update
A quick reminder of volunteering for the Blood Donor Clinics:

From Judy:

I have had a conversation with my Canadian Blood Services (CBS) liaison lady after the clinic on February 1. Those of you who gave your
volunteer time that evening know that, except for handing out snacks, we had very little to do. The lady in charge that evening basically
took away those first two stations that we have covered for 25 years. I was really concerned. I had asked for your time and you were not
needed.... but we were not informed of these changes ahead of time.

In chatting with my liaison, I have learned that this is coming from their head office, that we are not required to do those first two
stations in the future. All they expect of us now is manning (person-ing) the snack table.

After our strategic planning evening where we expressed the value of the Club members being in the public view, this is not good.
So at this point, unless you direct me otherwise, I will only ask one or two people to come for each shift to do the snacks. I know
that we offer “the best” snacks as I am told that by donors and CBS staff all the time.

But... A disappointing change, for sure.
