I wish every Rotarian, Rotaractor, Interactor, Earlyactor, Rotary volunteers and their family and friends the best 2014 has to offer. This is such a great time to be a Rotarian.

GREAT NEWS EVERYONE! Wings has been selected for an Oilers 50/50 draw on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 against San Jose. The game starts at 7:30 pm and volunteers need to arrive no later than 2 and a half hours prior to game time. Wings will require 60 volunteers – yes 60! – to work that evening. We need your help! By volunteering you will each raise $140 for Wings families, for a collective total of $8,000. Amazing! Plus, if you think you have what it take and sell the most raffle tickets on game night – you’ll win a prize! Volunteers must be 18+.
Old joke: Behind every successful man is a woman who asked, "How the hell did that happen?!"
Reality: No one can be truly successful in life on their own steam, their own abilities. Success depends upon being able to work with others.
In my professional life I talked to students about the importance of EQ over IQ: Emotional Quotient over Intelligence Quotient. You can be the brightest person in the world, I'd say, but if you can't get along with others, empahtize with others, and be a team player, you will struggle mightily in life.
