It's Not Too Late!
This morning, our virtual auction opened for bidding with 42 items in it.  That's well short of the 100 we hoped to have, but there are some very appealing items in there already that are getting attention from bidders.  If you personally have items from that you or your own business are donating, it's not too late - PLEASE send them to auction@sprucegroverotary.org including pictures (even if it's a picture of a gift certificate), plus a description and an estimated retail value.  If you're working with donors in the community, please try to "close" those deals this week.  We can still list more items and we will promote them to ensure they get noticed.

As of the time of writing, we already have leading bid values of over $500.  Christmas Gnomes are leading the bidding "frenzy" with two bids!  If everything currently listed went for just the minimum bids, the club would have an extra $5000.  Consider what would happen if we could add another 30 items to the auction?  It's not too late...
This Week's Meeting
From President Anne:

We will have a virtual tour of the Pay Forward Kindness community space.

Membership Dues:  Please ensure your club dues are paid as soon as possible. Questions can be directed to club treasurer, Mark Radke.

Liability re: In-Person meetings.  We have received notice from the district that our insurance coverage does NOT provide coverage for COVID related loss.  We have been asked to take this into consideration when we consider having in-person meetings

Silly Santa Update
From Lesley:

The Silly Santa Committee received enough money to cover 49 Christmas bags. We do not need any more donations. Thank you from the Silly Santa committee for enabling us to make someone happy this Christmas.
Friday Fun Curling!
Our Rotary Club has entered a curling team in the Friday Fun League at the Spruce Grove Curling Club.  Any Rotarians who would like to curl on Friday night at 7:00 PM any time in the upcoming weeks can sign up using the following link.  You don't have to commit to curling every week - only as often as you want, and, more importantly, no experience necessary!  If you're interested in learning the game, keeping in practice, or just coming out for some fun, it's a great experience.  The curling club has implemented protocols consistent with provincial public health orders and Curling Canada's guidelines for the prevention of COVID-19 transmission, so you can stay safe and stay connected to the game and the people you love.  We hope to see you out!
