We'll be starting to meet in person at the Super 8 on April 21 and the meeting start and end times will return to being 12:10 to 1:30, respectively.  There will be two lunch options;

$25.00 - full lunch - sandwich of the day, choice salad/fries, dessert, coffee/tea/water
$12.50 - dessert + coffee/tea

Payment will be in person every week.  We'll have punch cards available with each chit on the card worth $12.50 that you can buy in advance.  An email reminder will come out every week.  Registration by Tuesday guarantees your meal choice.  If you show up on Thursday without registering, you may be able to order off the menu or you may be out of luck for lunch.

Darkness into Light: Volunteers Needed

The Darkness Into Light Walk (DIL) is looking for volunteers to take a spot on the trail as the walkers pass, mostly for safety reasons. (The walk happens in the early morning darkness). The job is not onerous, as your station would be lit and you would only be out there in two’s perhaps an hour and a half.

The time for volunteers to arrive IS onerous. Volunteers would have to arrive by 3:00 a.m. ( no kidding) so that you can be in place by 4:15 a.m. (again… no kidding).

Where: Victoria Park in the Edmonton River Valley.

Date: Saturday, May 7.

Time: 3:00 a.m. to about 5:30 a.m.

It is an amazing experience, though, and those organizing and taking part would be very grateful for your help.

Interested?

Let Judy K. know.
