This Week's Meeting
August 5th- we will be meeting at the Spruce Grove Library, its a bring your own lunch day.  Start time is 12:10pm.
Your Feedback is Required
At Thursdays meeting we discussed the options for lunches moving forward, now that we are in our new space.  This is what was discussed:

Choices we talked about are:

1. A set cost of 5.00 per meeting, per member, billed quarterly (I don’t want to do yearly as we are not certain about the clubhouse yet) and then we have a charge of 15.00 per person per meeting if you choose the “catering” option.  That is billed monthly and pre collected for the next month, based on the number of meetings that month.  If you purchase the catering option, and are then unable to attend a lunch meeting then you forfeit the lunch that day, there is no carry over.  If you choose not to have the catering option you must bring your own lunch each week, or choose not to eat.  Either way the cost of our meeting space and some club expenses (ie flag replacement etc) is 5.00 per member per week.

2. The other option is to just bill every member 20.00 per week, collected on a quarterly basis, regardless of whether you attend the in person meeting or not. This will include the 5.00 per member per week for our meeting space.

I am asking for your feedback as soon as possible so that we can get this sorted.

On a side note, for those not in attendance at the last meeting....the Chamber has given its notice to vacate the clubhouse permanently as of August 31st.  As it stands now, we have a small committee of Rick L, Krista M, Allan P and myself to determine the options moving forward.  Should you like to sit on that committee as well please let me know.  We will be meeting as soon after Ribfest is done as we are on timeline.

Volunteers Needed!!!!!

10 Days Until RibFest

We will need approximately 100 volunteers per day to operate the Rib Fest efficiently. We need, I repeat, need volunteers. The VIP tent and Beer Garden alone need 30 people per day for supervisors and servers between them. That does not account for parking attendants, set-up and take-down personnel, ticket sellers and other jobs that are TBA.
Ask your friends, family members, enemies to volunteer. They will get a t-shirt and a free meal for a four (or more) hour shift. Hopefully you are willing to work two or three of the days.
Shifts are probably 10am-2pm, 2-6pm, and 5-10pm. That could change depending on days you work. The Rib Fest is August 13 -15 (10am-10pm). Set-up and takedown are August 12 and 16 (times TBA),

If you can help, please fill out the volunteer form as soon as possible. We need to start making lists now to ensure we do not have an embarrassing short fall.
