1. At the meeting last week we very were pleased to recognize, Steven Marsh, Spruce Grove resident, Owner/Founder of Elizabethan Catering and community minded individual with an Honorary Rotarian Award!!
Congratulations Steven and thank you for your involvement and contribution in Spruce Grove and area to those in need over many years.
2. Also from the meeting last week I would like to thank the many Rotarians who supported the Silly Santa fundraiser. Our project supports the women from the Wings of Providence women's shelter with a gift of a dressing gown to add a little warmth to their lives at this time of year. The club was entertained...with the amazing auctioneering abilities of Elizabeth Marsh!! Thanks Elizabeth. The club raised $1 620.00 for the project. And yes...there was a Silly Santa recognizing all those folks that were being...nice!! Thanks Santa!!
3. This week the meeting will have 2 speakers, Wayne Kauffman, District Rotary Foundation Chair, and Wayne McCutcheon, Global Grants Chair. They will be presenting info about the Rotary Foundation. They will focus on how the Foundation is unique and how the Foundation can benefit our club and the projects we provide service to.
