Sorry about the late Rotary RAP this week.  I was just waiting until next week's meeting location was finalized.

 

This Week's Meeting (June 27th) is at Shotz Lounge.  This will be our last meeting there until September.  

 

Next Week's Meeting (July 4th): Spruce Grove Public Library, Meeting Room A.  We will be hearing from our newest member Gerry Lawrence as he gives his classification speech.

Our Rotary-based  'Connecting With Our Aboriginal Neighbours' interagency Committee gave financial support for Metis historian, fiddlers and jiggers, and a liaison on Day's organizing committee.  Held indoors because of the rainy weather.

 

 

1) Women's Traditional Dance competition (note small children in traditional dress who had just competed their dance)

 

2) Red Dress group--honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

 

 

3) Men's Modern Costume and Dance (only 1 entry--but he was incredibly vigorous!)

Just a quick reminder that if you are going to be away and won't be attending a weekly meeting, can you please indicate by clicking the "Can't Make It" Button.  The email comes out on Fridays and is called the "May Rotary Meetings" or whichever month it is.  The email comes from Crystal Desilets.  I use this info for informing Shotz how many people will be there for lunch.  Also if you are bringing a guest could you fill in the "Bring a Guest" button.  Thanks for helping out with this as it's makes my job easier if I have all the information.
