Attendance at Weekly Meetings
Just a quick reminder that if you are going to be away and won't be attending a weekly meeting, can you please indicate by clicking the "Can't Make It" Button.  The email comes out on Fridays and is called the "May Rotary Meetings" or whichever month it is.  The email comes from Crystal Desilets.  I use this info for informing Shotz how many people will be there for lunch.  Also if you are bringing a guest could you fill in the "Bring a Guest" button.  Thanks for helping out with this as it's makes my job easier if I have all the information.
"Connecting" on the Michel Band's Ancestral Lands

You are invited to an afternoon of fun and fellowship on Tuesday, June 4 at 4:30 PM!  Join members of the three area Rotary clubs and the Connecting With our Indigenous Neighbours committee on the property of Ernie Calihoo, the last member of the Michel Band to remain on their traditional ancestral lands just north of Spruce Grove by the Villeneuve Airport.  You may remember that Ernie's daughter, Maureen Calihoo Ligtvoet, (pictured with Arlaine and Past President Chris) visited our club last May to talk about the Michel band's struggle for recognition under the law and the particular traditions and lifestyle they enjoyed farming in the local area.

There will be a big bonfire, wagon rides, and time for relaxing and visiting in a most beautiful setting, using the outdoor facilities of the Spruce Grove Archery Club.  The event is being organized as a pot luck, so look for an email coming out later today with details and an opportunity to sign up to bring a dish.
