Upcoming speakers 1. Oct. 5th, YCR2 Update. Melanie Harris and Janine Halayko. In the spring of 2015 club members were invited to a You Can Ride 2 event at Broxton Park School. YCR2 is an amazing group of professionals, bike enthusiasts and community members who modify bikes so kids with some form of disability can also ride a bike...can be one of the kids who ride bikes. The event touched the heart of several club members and as a result a cash appeal for YCR2 occurred at the 2015 Lobsterfest. $82 500.00 was raised in 15 to 20 min. and YCR2 had the opportunity to develop and grow their vision. Amazing things have happened since then with a fabulous partnership with Goodwill Industries. Hear the update...this Thursday!! 2. Oct. 12th. Membership update with Membership Director, Krista Mastaler. 3. Oct. 19th. 25th Year Celebration and Major event/Lobsterfest...discussion. 4. Oct. 26th. Visitation to the FCSS Youth Log Cabin. Unveiling of the Champions of Good picture mounted at the Log Cabin. Presentation by Dr. Doug Klein, sponsor and developer of summer youth programs. 5. Oct. 28th. Rotary Club of Spruce Grove Appreciation Pancake Breakfast. Details of registering and inviting will be available this week. Poster/flyer looks good... |
