1. Speaker, May 4. District Conference Report. Thanks to Myrna and Chris Findt and Krista Mastaler who will report on the recent District Conference. Good opportunity as we approach the end of our year and the beginning of the 2017-18 Rotary Year to reflect on the issues and service we focus on. Reminder...another great opportunity to reflect on our community including the tri-region. Chamber of Commerce, Tri Region Community, Luncheon, Tuesday, May 9th, 11:15 to 1:45, Elks Hall Doug Griffiths, Author, Speaker and Founder of 13 Ways. Doug has a perspective of 13 things not to do in a community and alternatively 13 things to do. Doug is well versed with the characteristics of our Tri Region. Should be a very interesting and illuminating presentation. May be helpful in providing perspective for our Rotary Club. To register, online, go to, www.sprucegrovechamber.com/events, or contact the office at, 780-962-2561 Membership Committee event...looks like lots of fun. Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? This is a fun little series of events that lots of Rotary Clubs do. The membership committee is bringing it to ours. If you participate, you agree to host dinner once and go to dinner twice. You will get a chance to know Rotarians better in a small setting, which could be your home or a venue of the host’s choosing. The catch is that you won’t who’s your guest or host until the door opens! We plan to do this over three dates, one each in June, July, and August. Specific dates will be worked out once we know who’s interested in participating. We can accommodate Rotarians attending with a partner, alone, or with their whole family. Hosts will have the option to say if they want to include kids or not. If you want to participate or if you have questions, please email Krista at krista.mastaler@computerinsights.ca. |
