At this past week's meeting, the Club presented Jim Heinbuch, from Neighbourlink Parkland, with a cheque for $10,000. Here is the link to their website, if you would like to see what this organization does and why our club supports them.
Club member, Angus McKenzie was surprised and recognized, by Lee and Doug from the local Scouts Organization, with a Medal of Good Service. This recognition took place for all his hard work with the Scouts over the years. Congrats, Angus for a much deserved award!
January 24th - Community Development Facilitator, Strategic Planning - Preliminary Meeting
A facilitator from the Government of Alberta, Community Development Unit will be working with our club to begin our strategic planning process.
January 31st - Facilitator from Community Development Unit, Strategic Planning - Major Session
A continuation from our preliminary meeting on January 24th, this evening session will delve into our strategic plan in more detail. We'll be meeting at the library and we are working on bringing in food and drink. More details to follow.
February 7th - Dr. Mark Joffe: Understanding Polio and Other Infectious Diseases
February 12th - Board Meeting at the Clubhouse at 12pm.
- Eva Olsson: A clarion voice rises from the ashes. Come and hear from this Holocaust Survivor and author about creating a legacy of caring, compassion and character. This is a FREE community event, however tickets must be reserved at Eventbrite or by calling Stony Plain FCSS. This is a initiative in partnership with our Connecting with our Indigenous Neighbours Committee.

February 21st- Heather Glasier - Rotaract Club Member: Heather will be informing us about the Rotaract Club at MacEwan University and their upcoming Polio Plus Gala.
