Feb. 15th.  1. Update on Partner Procurement Program and tools to use when contacting the community.  2. Discussion on the Notice of Motion...

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove will commit significant time, effort, and financial resources as deemed necessary under the auspices of its Community Service mandate to participate in a regional initiative to review the need for and feasibility of a local women’s shelter, and if it should find that no organized initiative is underway to achieve that end, that the club should initiate and lead such an initiative.

4.  You Can Ride 2   It was a message like the one below that 3 years ago attracted several of our club to attend a similar event at Broxton Park.  As they say...the rest is history.  An amazing story of inspiration, hard work, a Cash Appeal at Lobsterfest in which the community contributed over $80 000.00 to YCR2.  This was followed up with our club connecting YCR2 and Dale Monaghan of Goodwill Industries.  They developed a partnership that has totally changed the capacity of YCR2 to service youth with disabilities.  We have heard several of the stories from parents of these youth that have been very impressive. (or tearful!!)  Congratulations to our Rotary Club of Spruce Grove...
