... Julie Lilienskold who was inducted into our Club at the January 30th meeting. Julie earned a Certified Management Accountant degree, now lives in Spruce Grove, and is a Vice President and Deal Maker with VR Business Brokers. She has worked as a comptroller and/or team leader for 17 years for local and international companies in Alberta. She was a real estate agent and accountant for RE/MAX Real Estate before moving to VR. She has worked as a volunteer with Parkland Search and Rescue in various flood and fire situations. She has also participated in Ride for a Cure, and Stollery Children's Hospital and local Christmas fundraisers. Her classification is Business Broker. She was congratulated in the photo below by President Elect Victor Moroz (left) and her proposer Rotarian Ray Frayne.

Our regular meeting on Thursday, February 20th is cancelled because of the Bonspiel. I know that not everyone can volunteer during the Opening Ceremonies because of work, but maybe you could come to view the Opening Ceremonies which start at noon at the Spruce Grove Curling Club.
District 5370 Rotarians and Clubs ROCK!! On October 5, 2013 at the District Conference, I challenged our Clubs to take Polio Gonzo’s siblings to your communities and ask your communities to help us eradicate polio in the world once and for all.
Just a heads up that our March 13th meeting will be a little different. We will eat as right at 12:00 noon, then proceed with a one hour training session, led by the good folks of Goodwill Industries of Alberta, on working with people of disabilities.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is the premier scholarship of The Rotary Foundation and supports Rotary's mission to empower, educate, and increase the capacity of peace builders through rigorous academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities. Two types of fellowships are offered: a master's degree program and a three month professional development certificate program.
